Tonight - THE CASUALTIES in Minneapolis, Other Great Local Shows

There's a bunch of shows taking place tonight, first being long-running punk traditionalists The Casualties, who are playing at the Triple Rock Social Club in Minneapolis with Rocksteady Breakfast and Devil Blues Band. This is an 18+ show that starts at 9:00; tickets are $15 at the door. The Casualties are out promoting the outstanding Resistance album (reviewed here, 9/10), and you can stream the opening track "My Blood. My Life. Always Forward." below.

Minneapolis hard rock band Torch The Spires plays a show at Club Underground at the Spring Street Tavern in Minneapolis with Suit And Tie Genocide and Owlstorm. This gets underway at 8:00.

It's also a night of local metal at Station 4 in St. Paul with Haunted Wisconsin, Deretia, Ghost Hook, Invidiosus, and Compassion Dies. Door are at 6:00 for this 18+ show.

Lastly, Face Of Oblivion, Byleth, and The Vile Impurity team up for a show at the What's Up Lounge in Mankato. This is a 21+ show that starts at 9:00, and it's $5 at the door.

Sleaszy Rider Records Signs Cold Colours

Congratulations are in order to Minneapolis-based Cold Colours, who have signed a new record deal with Sleaszy Rider Records. The band's brief announcement can be read on their Myspace blog. Their third album is expected to be released in late 2010.

Cold Colours has two upcoming headlining shows in the area. They will be performing on Saturday, February 27 at The Rock in Maplewood with support from Shadow Craft, Deretia, and Insurrect. Saturday, March 20 will find Cold Colours taking the stage at Station 4 in St. Paul.
