It should be a
crazy night of hardcore tonight, Thursday, July 5 at The Beat Coffeehouse in
Minneapolis as they host metalcore band Lionheart
with support from straightedge band Thick
As Blood (Rise Records) and Bullet Tooth Records recording artist Dead Icons.
If a short drive
doesn’t bother you, head on up to Bubba’s in Sauk Rapids tomorrow, Friday, July
6 to catch more metalcore from Straight
Line Stitch with local openers Thira
and Throw The Fight.
Saturday, July 7
has one big national band in town and a slew of cool local shows. The Brick in
Minneapolis has long-running rock/reggae/rap band 311 taking their stage on Saturday. St. Paul-based technical
hardcore kings The Crinn play the
Triple Rock Social Club in Minneapolis with Morality Crisis, A Boy And
His Dog, and Nerves. Station 4
in St. Paul also has a local bill with Day
ΓΈ, Trip The Grid, Riffica, and Surelock. Lastly, if you remember local pop-punk pioneers The Magnolias, then you’ll want to get
down to the 7th Street Entry in Minneapolis to catch them with The Rhinestone Diplomats and Bullet Proof Hearts.
The long-running
punk showcase that is the Warped Tour
arrives at Canterbury Park in Shakopee on Sunday, July 8. Have fun outside all
day in the blistering heat on a dusty field! Seriously, the list of bands
playing is too long and it hurts my head just to see it.
Local industrial
band As|Of performs Monday, July 9
at the Triple Rock Social Club in Minneapolis with Camden and Temple.
On Tuesday, July
10, local Tooth & Nail recording artist Write This Down will showcase their new material at Station 4 in
St. Paul with Red Moring Voyage, Harp & Lyre, Awaken, Imagine The Silence,
and Sick Of Talking About It on the
bill.
