Hailing from England, Hellbastard will embark on an extensive North American tour throughout most of September and October to promote their 2009 releases, The Need To Kill album and Eco-War EP. If you live the Los Angeles area, their September 13 show at the Bomb Shelter in Westminster, California will be recorded for a live album (and admission is free!). Hellbastard hits Minneapolis on the tail end of the tour on October 20 at the Triple Rock with Misery and War/Plague. The support acts will vary at each show, so check with your local venue for more information.
Hellbastard formed way back in 1986, and reactivated last year after an eleven year absence. The thrash/punk style has been often imitated, and their Ripper Crust demo from 1986 is credited for the now widely used "crust punk" term.
