The (unintended)
time away flies quick, and I’ve gradually been bringing the concert calendar
(right) fully up to date. After previewing all of the shows coming up this
week, I’ll highlight other new concerts in three separate posts for the
remainder of October, November, and December and beyond. There’s a ton of great
bands coming to the area so brace yourself. As usual, I’ve got a backlog of
album reviews, concert reviews, pictures, audio downloads, and fun tales that
I’ll get posted as time allows. Your patience and continued support is
appreciated!
Built-for-radio
hard rock band Three Days Grace
plays a sold out show at the Fine Line Music Cafe in Minneapolis tonight,
Friday, October 12.
Tomorrow, Saturday,
October 13 thrash gods Exodus play
the Triple Rock Social Club in Minneapolis with local support from Impaler, Black Rainbow, and Mördwolf.
The bad news is that this is part of the annual Zombie Pub Crawl. Go visit
their website for full details, but purchase of a wristband ($23 advance/$40
day of) does not guarantee admission to the venue. This venue is too
small for Exodus for this type of event, so if you really must endure an
annoying zombie crowd you better get to the Triple Rock early when doors open
at 5. You decide whether it’s worth the hassle.
Twin Cities
metalcore giants After The Burial
bring the heat to Station 4 in St. Paul for an all ages show this Sunday, October
14 with The Contortionist, Reflections, I Am Vengeance, and CounterMeasure.
Hard rock favorites
Seether bring along Sick Puppies, Kyng, and Eye Empire for
a show on Tuesday, October 16 at Mill City Nights.
Expect the
unexpected when Iwrestledabearonce, Oceano, Vanna, Within The Ruins,
The Plot In You, Surrounded By Monsters, and The Disaster Radiu invade Station 4 in
St. Paul on Wednesday, October 17.
Rap-metal survivors
(hed)pe return to town on Thursday,
October 18 at Station 4 in St. Paul with Sore
and Dopesic for an all ages show.
Across town at The
Cabooze in Minneapolis on Thursday, October 18 alternative-punk godfathers Dinosaur Jr. play with support from Shearwater.
Look for a slew of
new concert information coming soon in three more posts.
