Tonight - PETRA, THE DEAD MILKMEN, REAPING ASMODEIA, GORGATRON

Classic Petra performing October 25, 2012 at the Living Word Christian Center in Brooklyn Park. Click on any of the pictures to see more photos of Petra (55).

It's a busy night around town, and kicking off an early show is venerable Christian rock band Petra (with ex-Head East vocalist John Schlitt) with Bread Of Stone at the Living Word Christian Center in Brooklyn Park. This show is all ages, starts at 7:00, and will cost you $20 at the door. If you missed it, go read my interview from October 2012 with founding guitarist Bob Hartman. The Classic Petra (with Greg X. Volz on vocals) show in October was phenomenal - the band hasn't lost any of their fire. I met a number of readers at this show, and it was gratifying to have Bob Hartman tell me that all that day people told him they read my interview with him.

Eclectic punk band The Dead Milkmen return again with a show tonight at First Avenue in Minneapolis with Samuel Locke Ward and The Garbage Boys. It's an 18+ show that starts at 9:00, and tickets are $20 at the door.

Technical death metal band Reaping Asmodeia has an EP release show tonight at Station 4 in St. Paul with Our Judgment, Get The Gun, I Am Vengeance, and Daytripper. This is an early all ages show, and the cover charge is $10.

Death metal from Fargo arrives in the form of Gorgatron at Club Underground in Minneapolis. They're playing with Element 33, Beauty Of Decay, Expyre, and Tempestuous. Things should get underway around 9:00.
